Kundalini Yoga is a powerful and transformational practice. It teaches us that we all have within us everything we need to face the challenges that life throws at us; we just need to awaken that energy and tap into our inner strength. The physical exercises in Kundalini Yoga support all our body systems: they build glandular and nerve strength, expand lung capacity and gives us the necessary means to handle day to day stress.
In a class, we combine exercise and different breathing techniques combined with mantra and meditation to build resilience, calm our mind and release tension. It also builds physical strength, stamina and focus. Although lasting change takes time, you may start to feel inner peace, calm and renewed vitality even after your first class.
Kundalini yoga is for everyone - if you can breathe and move your body you can do it! The emphasis is not on perfecting the physical posture but on the experience and effects of it. Whatever you think your physical limitations are, there is a place for you in my class. Break free of the subconscious restriction you have placed on yourself, let go of the limiting beliefs that are keeping you stuck, free yourself of old patterns or behaviour and rebuild your self-worth and inner strength.
When we awaken our Kundalini energy we recognise the power we have within us and our perception of the world around us changes. Although the world remains the same, our values and the quality of our relationships change as does the way in which we handle day to day challenges.
